The first LDX Residency is complete—and it exceeded every expectation
Last month, twelve lighting professionals from across the country gathered at the ProSource 1010 Experience Center in Golden, Colorado for the inaugural LDX Residency, the five-day in-person learning experience at the heart of LDX.
"LDX exceeded every expectation I had going into the program. From the moment it began, it was clear that this was much more than a typical industry training event, it was an opportunity to learn, connect, and gain a new perspective on professional growth." - Tom, Sensoryphile
Over five immersive days, cohort members explored every stage of residential lighting through hands-on fixture workshops, room-by-room design demonstrations, collaborative discussions, and field deployment exercises led by the Light Can Help You team. They also spent time with manufacturer partners dedicated to lighting excellence, expanding both their technical knowledge and their professional network. Through a carefully crafted mix of active learning, lectures, and collaboration, participants left feeling more capable and confident, ready to apply their new knowledge and skills to real-world projects.
"LDX was a transformative training experience. David, Jessica and the Light Can Help You team went above and beyond to educate us not only on client interactions and lighting design, but also on deployment in the field. I am now so much more confident talking to architects, interior designers, builders and homeowners about the possibilities of light AND how to put it into practice." - Kevin, Empowered Design Group
What made the week truly special, however, wasn't just the curriculum, but also the community that formed around a shared desire to become better designers, collaborators, and project managers. Cohort members built lasting relationships with fellow professionals who share a passion for lighting. Through Clio, Light Can Help You's online lighting community, they'll continue those conversations while accessing resources, peer support, and continuing education long after the Residency concludes.
"What made the experience even more valuable were the people. Learning alongside such a talented group of professionals created meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, and connections that I know will last well beyond the program itself." - Blake, Pacific Audio and Communications
To everyone who joined us for this first Residency...thank you! Your curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to collaborate made this inaugural experience something truly special. We're equally grateful to our sponsors, whose partnership helped make this week possible.
We're already looking forward to welcoming the next cohort and continuing to build a community of lighting professionals committed to raising the standard of residential lighting.
